hey, i just heard this on the radio and now I see it here. Thanks for those pics John. I can't remember her as cat woman. She looks good, I can imaging you fell for her!

I read that Orson Welles found her the most exciting woman of the world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eartha_Kitt

i saw that too! i didn't know all she did until i read that article. she really was a very special woman!
she wrote 3 autobiographies! i guess she lived enough for 3 lifetimes! speaking of writing, Barbara Feldon (99) wrote a book in 2003 about living a life alone.
did the fam have a good holiday? i imagine it's grey and wet and cold there like it is here (-2c here, yuck). i bet the kids are into the break though.

cydde -i hope your drive home was nice and relatively
uneventful.
oh, and i did not know what a kookaburra was. but i looked it up and found: "The Kookaburra is a large, noisy bird from forests on the islands of Australia, Tasmania, and New Guinea. Its loud, distinctive call sounds like human laughter".
sounds not so great. looks small though, in the diagram.

i just came across this:
"The Kookaburra is a carnivore (meat-eater). It eats large insects, earthworms, small reptiles, and amphibians. After catching prey, the Kookaburra pounds it against a tree branch or rock, probably in order to tenderize the meat. The Kookaburra doesn't drink any water; it gets enough water from the food it eats".
sounds like the scariest bird ever.

actually not scary at all - they don't bother humans, though their call/laughing can get irritating if there's too much of it. there's no mistaking it that's for sure. but yeah, they eat meat and love snakes and lizards - you see em in trees beating the crap out of them against branches before eating. smart birds! size wise they are not big, less than a foot in height. if they did attack humans though it would hurt cos their beaks are long and pointy.

there's plenty of other things to be mortally afraid of here!

ha! weird! that's big for here. most birds here are 4 inches. but outside the city theres giant hawks and eagles and buzzards. so mum gives them chopped up beef? strange. i kinda wish you guys could hear the new release to let me know what it's like. we'll just wait and see if i survive. (and then it's holiday time if i find some scratch($).
