nice one zombie john! i thought you were gonna talk more after she said you'll carry it on.

i hope halloween was a prosperous time for you! in answer to the question you asked, australia really doesn't do it. i remember being in canada in 2002 during halloween and actually it freaked me out a bit because i'd never witnessed people taking it so seriously. weird sounds and lights - but not really scary. i guess we saw it as more of a commercial/ritual american thing to take it on, even with an american father. though i must admit there is a photo of me somewhere from when i was about 10 dressed as a ghost (white sheet and cord) and carved punkins did happen at school (but only to raised money for the social club along with a fair it held).

though out walking in the mountains yesterday (when it would still have been halloween over your way) i did feel spirits around me and asked them not to harm me. all i ended up seeing was a couple of lizards making babies...

leo, i didn't mean to say we shouldn't do the x-mass mix just because i wasn't into it. and thinking about it, it could be interesting. i am very sick and can't concentrate too well at the moment, so i don't think i understood it well.
if you and cydde are into it, i can try as well. tough things make us try harder to do our best.
if you guys could explain it a little more to me i'm sure i'll be set!
for halloween i laid in bed all night. i love halloween, and love how girls dress in next to nothing! it sucked having to miss it.
i was gonna be a ghost. i was a ghost with the rope when i was i kid too.

no problem, anything else is fine, it's just my two cents. Hope you will be better soon! Around here a lot of people are sick of the flue, it comes with vomiting and evrything, not very nice... What do you have?
Take care!

most of the european air traffic comes and goes from Shipol so it is not uncommon for us to share the same airborne viruses as you guys. i may have that very flu. i don't know, it's been really brutal. i'm on a 5th round of antibiotics.
it's almost amazing how determined this damn thing is. i'm not so cranky as i was yesterday. thats good. lots of cd work to be done, and all i want to do is lay in bed and eat candy bars.

5th round! wow, be careful and don't let those sickmakers get immune for the antibiotics...
The world is small these days so when some virus breaks out here it can be in days in Kentucky for sure. Probably that is what will kill humanity sometime.
Or am I too negative here?

like the film '12 monkeys'
i like your new picture leo. your a good looking man.
i still haven't received your package. i guess it is on a boat. i've been sick so i have refused to leave the house in a week! mine may make it to you by the time yours get here. perfect timing.

i meant to say leo that your package did arrive here! i must have been lucky to get the airmail. and to live in a place that has looser screening at ports than the US!

i haven't listened to it yet but i am truly amazed by its content and intent. that must have been such a difficult time for you, but i guess you're also living proof that life moves on even when we feel unprepared for it.

oh, and 12 monkeys indeed. my sister is an epidemiologist and worked on both the SARS and bird flu outbreaks across vietnam and cambodia - hearing about the transmission of diseases for which there is no immediate possibility of cure, VERY frightening. but not enough to make me a hygiene freak! i'm still a firm believer in getting grubby, and should i ever have children they'll be allowed to eat as much dirt and sand as they like (provided we don't live near an industrial waste site!)...

yeah 12 monkeys...and for me not enough to make me a hygiene freak either. I let my kids play anywhere and hope they build up resistance against dirty stuff.
Cydde; I'm glad you appreciate my October input!

i have 2 sisters, one is a clean freak and kept her kids in a sterile setting, and the other sister let her kids play in the muck like kids like to do and her kids are fine but the first sister's kids have tons of allergy problems and sick all the time because they never built up the immunity.
also brazil is a great movie.
